About us
— RentMotors Ltd (further in the text – Lessor) rents to the Lessee the car specified in Car Rental Agreement. All equipment and accessories related to the car (keys, documents, tires, mats, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, triangle, etc.) s hall be transferred to the Renter together with the car.

Requirements for the Renter
— The car may only be driven by a Renter who is at least 20 years old and has a valid driving license issued no earlier than 2 years from the time of booking.
— The Lessor has the right to rent the car to adults under 20 years of age, but in this case an additional risk charge and a higher security deposit will apply. Please note that some cars have a minimum rental age of 22-26 years and this requirement can’t be bypassed.
— The Lessor has the right to rent the car to persons with less driving experience, in which case an additional risk charge and a higher security deposit will apply. Please note that some cars have a requirement for minimum driving experience of 3-6 years and this requirement can’t be bypassed.
— The car may be driven by 2 drivers. Both drivers data must be written in the rental contract and have a valid driving license. For adding second driver additional charge will apply.
— Before receive a car, the Renter is required to present the Lessor a valid passport or ID card and a valid driving license, which must match the details provided on the initial booking form, and to pay a security deposit using his own bank card.
Driving licenses issued in the European Union, the USA, the UK or Australia are also valid. An international driving license is not required.

ATTENTION! FACE CONTROL! Car rental company have Face control. The Lessor may refuse to provide car rental service without giving any reason, in such situation the prepayment will be returned. (This may happen if the Renter shows signs of alcohol or drug abuse, inadequate behavior, is in the Latvian car rental blacklist or is suspected of fraudulent activities.)

Rental payment
— Car rental can be paid by bank transfer (invoice is sent to the Renter by e-mail our by SMS) or by cash payment at the time of pick-up. For legal entities, we offer payment by bank card.
— If the car is returned before end of the rental period, the rental fee paid for the unused days will not be returned, because as the total rental fee depends on the rental period.

Security deposit
— The security deposit can be paid ONLY by bank card or by bank transfer. The amount of the security deposit depends on the selected car and, it can be from EUR 100 to EUR 1000.
— After the car has been returned and inspected, the Lessor will inform the bank of the cancellation the next working day. Usually, Latvian banks process the information within 3 working days and the reserved amount become available in the Renter’s account. For foreign banks, the process is longer and cancellation of the deposit reservation can take up to 14 calendar days.

ATTENTION! If the security deposit is paid by bank card, the Lessor will not make an incoming payment to the Renter’s account to return the deposit, as a result the Renter will not receive a text message from the bank about the incoming payment. The Lessor’s don’t receive security deposit amount to the bank account, it always remains in the Renter’s account. After the cancellation of the deposit reservation made by bank, the record of the cash reservation will disappear in the “Money reserved from bank card” section of the bank, there will be changes in the account balance and it will not be possible to see in the payment history of the bank account that the amount was withdrawn or returned back to the account.

The security deposit will not be refunded in the following cases:

• The Renter exceeds a speed of 100 km/h in Latvia or 120 km/h in another EU country;
• Smoking in the car or within 2 meters of car;
• Visual damage to the returned car;
• The Renter is grossly violates the rules of the road;
• The Renter has not paid the invoice;
• The fuel tank is not full and the Renter has not informed the Lessor of this by text message (an unfulfilled fuel tank is a fuel tank that can still hold more than 4 liters of fuel);
• The car was not returned at the time agreed in the contract and the Renter did not agree this with the Lessor at least 24 hours before the end of the contract.

Receiving/returning the car
— The car can be received or returned at address: Rigas Street 11, Jelgava. Before visiting our office, please contact us +371 2010 2010. Customer service is by appointment only! Reservations for rental vehicles are available daily 7:00-21:00.
It is possible to pick up and return off the car in other parts of Latvia – by prior arrangement with the Lessor.
Outside working hours, we only service reservations made in advance. For drop-off and pick-up outside working hours, an additional fee will be added according to the price list.
— Before signing the car rental contract, please read the rental contract and carefully study the terms and conditions of the contract, the agreed rental amount, as well as the optional extras and additional services!
— While getting the rental car, the Renter is obliged to check its visual and technical condition together with a car rental staff. If any defects are found, report about them to the car rental staff. These defects must be captured with a mobile device by taking a photo or video. Check the condition of the car body, including the presence of minor scratches or dents, and the condition of the interior. If there are stains on the seats, rips on the seats or upholstery, cigarette marks or smells, you must notified the rental agent before you start using the car. The luggage compartment needed to be checked.

CAUTION! According to the rental agreement, the Renter is obliged to take a photo or video of the car and its damages with a mobile device when receiving and returning the car, in order to avoid contradictory situations after returning the car if new damages will be found. The photo and video files must be kept for up to 30 days from the time of car return.

— To save time, the customer may leave the car washing and interior cleaning to the car rental staff. There is an additional charge for this (prices according to the price list).

ATTENTION! If the car is not washed properly, a car wash fee will be charged according to the price list. This happens most when the customer was washing the car at a self-service car wash.

— Carriage of animals in the car requires prior agreement with the Lessor.
— The car is given to the customer with a full tank of petrol and must be returned in the same condition!
— Smoking is strictly prohibited in the car! Fine for smoking in the car is EUR 150.
— The Renter will be solely responsible for all infringements and penalties during the rental period. If the Renter fails to pay the fines during the rental period, an additional administration fee will be charged to the Renter.

Rental period
The rental period is defined as 24 hours, starting from the moment the Renter have received the car. The Renter is obliged to agree in advance the additional rental period.

If the Lessor approves the extension of the rental period:

• up to 2 hours, it is FREE OF CHARGE;
• form 2 to 5 hours, 50% fee of of the daily price;
• more then 5 hours, 100% fee of of the daily price.

— To change the rental period, please contact the Lessor ONLY by phone call: +371 2010 2010.

ATTENTION! In case when Renter have not returned the rental car without confirmation from the lessor, a rental fee of EUR 60 per day will be charged.
The Lessor may charge a fee of EUR 10 for changing the rental period.

Mileage/leaving Latvia
— Please note! The lessor will check the total kilometers driven during the rental period! In case of more driven kilometers, than at the booking time, a surcharge of EUR 0.06 – 0.18 per kilometer will be applied (price depends on the chosen car and the rental period).
— Mileage is unlimited. Restrictions are only limited to the driver’s physical capacity. For a safe journey, the car must not be driven for more than 17 hours or approximately 1200km/day.
— The car is allowed to be used only in Europe!
Only by prior arrangement is traveling outside Latvia allowed!
